More exciting plans for weekend, exercising and so happy for Carl and McKenzie

Tommy and I tried to get some friends to go with us to a military concert that is tonight but all our friends were busy doing other things so it will just be the two of us going. What it is, is a band in the Air Force plays live at the stadium about 30 miles away from where we live. They play once a year but this is our first time going so it should really be interesting. It is all free to go so that is nice. I really enjoy going to nice Air Force gatherings and see others in the military including their spouses. It makes me feel good knowing that people want to have a social life and we are really all in the same situation with our spouses being in the military. Tommy and I love this Mexican restaurant that we go to once in a while and the reason for that is because it is 30 miles away and so we go there on special occasions. It isn't expensive. Very reasonable. We are going tonight. The atmospher is so nice. They have a lot of choices on on their menu and the portions for meals are so big and delicious. They actually play Mexican music not that we understand any of it hahah but also the waiters and cooks are all Mexican so it really feels like a true Mexican restaurant.

Then tomorrow, we are having some neighbors over for Super Bowl. Tommy and I don't really care to watch the Super Bowl but it is something nice to do to have friends over. We are all going to pitch in for pizza delivery probably from Pizza Hut since it is close by and have that for dinner.

I've been going to the gym lately started just this past week. Today is the second time I have gone and the first time Tommy went was today with me. I use the bike and he uses the treadmill. We exercise for about 30 minutes and then call it quits hahah. I do notice I feel so much better lately. I haven't been so tired especially after I get off work. I use to come home from work and just want to relax and not do much because of how tired I was. Ever since I have been exercising and watching what I eat, I feel better about myself. I am actually trying to lose weight and reaching a great goal. It actually makes me realize I care about my body.

Tommy and I are so happy for Carl and McKenzie. We are so excited for them. We know they will make wonderful parents as well as Diana and Al. By the way Tommy and I were the first to get married but we are the last to have children hahah on the Joseph side of the family. Funny how that works out.

Update On My Aunt

Well my Aunt recently had heart surgery. She has been in an induced coma and on a breathing machine for a while now. Her leg might be amputated because of the infection that was in her kidney then spread to her heart and then spread to her brain. Hopefully soon she will recover and come out of the hospital.

My Aunt

Please keep my aunt in your prayers. I just found out she is in the hospital and very sick. She had a kidney infection that spread from her kidney, to her stomach and now to her brain. The only thing that is keeping her alive is a respirator. She is not aware what is going on and we aren't sure if she is getting better or getting worse. Oh I just wish we could be there with her and see her. It tears me up inside being so far away and hearing this bad news.

Negative Degree Weather, Our plans for Saturday, Tommy's work schedule, etc

So living in the Midwest, we can get some really cold weather especially when it drops down to O degrees and then even -5, -10 degrees. That is what we got yesterday. The high for us was 11 degrees. Wow, that is freezing. My face felt like it was going to fall off, hahah. I wore my leather jacket, a scarf, and mittens and I was still very cold. It defintely made the inside of our home very cold too, so heat is a great thing.

We are going with friends to Kansas City this weekend so they can get a puppy and so we are bringing Haley so they can play at the park together. One of friends thought it would be a great idea for the dogs to meet and have fun so we are looking forward to that. It will be warmer probably in the 40's so that will be nice. It is definitely better than negative digits.

Tommy starts Day shift next week. We are so happy about that. This past week he worked 12 hour shifts including working on the weekend for 7 days and then worked this week on top of that so he is very tired. He is ready for a day off which will be tomorrow believe it or not. He had to work evening shift this week. The poor guy needs to take it easy now and sleep. All he did really was sleep, work, and eat this past week. He worked 12 days straight without a day off. So last weekend I had a friend over. She went grocery shopping with me, and hung out with me at my house while her husband was sleeping since he worked overnights and while Tommy was working during the day. It was nice. I made Honey Mustard BBQ Chicken recipe, which is a homemade Rachael Ray recipe out of one of my Rachael Ray cookbooks. We had it with Au Gratin Potatoes and fried corn mixed with butter and red pepper. It is Tommy and my favorite meal so I wanted to do something nice since he was working those long hours and had to work the weekend.

My work is going ok. Now that the holidays are over, things are finally getting back to normal. It is a little slower but still hectic as always working there.

Haley and our cats are good. Our cats learned to jump in the windows between the curtains and blinds because they like to look out. It drives us crazy, because we can see something getting broken. Also the cats are fascinated with water for some reason, so when ever we have the water running, they jump on the bathroom counter and watch the water drip and they play in the water. They are all loving each other. They are all very spoiled.
